Before you start

  • The administrator has the permission to use the dynamic group QR code in the middle platform.
  • Valid invitation links to enterprise operation groups have been obtained, and these groups have been confirmed to be suitable for customers who accept this entrance.
  • If you need to use tags, first prepare the customer tags that can be selected on the current page.

Where to find it
Middle office → Marketing service → dynamic group QR code → Create dynamic group QR code.

Check the original group invitation link first #

The dynamic group QR code combines multiple WhatsApp group invitation links into one entry. After customers click on the link or scan the QR code, they will be directed to one of the groups. Before using, check the name, purpose, person in charge and group membership conditions of each group to ensure that no matter which group the customer enters, they can receive services consistent with the entrance description.

Dynamic group QR code cannot replace the original group invitation permission. First check whether the group link is still valid one by one; whether the group requires administrator approval, whether it is full, etc. should also be confirmed in the current WhatsApp group settings. The data does not describe the complete mechanism for automatically checking for broken links or switching between full groups.

Create a unified group entrance #

  1. The administrator opens "Marketing Services → dynamic group QR code" in the center console.
  2. Select "Create dynamic group QR code" and fill in the link name. It is recommended to include an activity or service theme.
  3. Select a customer label if needed to differentiate customers entering through this portal.
  4. Fill in the first WhatsApp group link, and then join the remaining target groups through the add group link entry.
  5. Check item by item to ensure that there are no internal work groups or groups that have ceased operations.
  6. After completing the confirmation, return to the list to view the generated link and QR code.

Go through it first with a test contact #

Ask the designated test contact to open the unified link or scan the QR code to verify the actual group name and steps to join the group. After joining, check the actual status of the members in the group; if the group requires approval, the pending approval status cannot be regarded as successful joining the group. Then check whether the corresponding customer label meets the settings.

Both the original link and the unified entrance need to be checked: when the original group link cannot be opened, the group invitation link should be processed first, and then the target content in the dynamic group QR code should be maintained. When the unified portal can be opened but is directed to an inappropriate group, you should check the filled-in group set and the current allocation result.

Recheck after group purpose changes #

When the group changes its purpose, the administrator resets the invitation link, or no longer accepts new members, check which links are still in use in the dynamic group QR code and maintain them according to the editing entrance provided by the current list. After updating, test the original unified portal again to confirm that it points to the correct target. The information does not stipulate the update effective time or caching rules, and an actual verification should be completed before important activities are launched online.

Check your result

  • The unified link and QR code have been generated.
  • The group name seen by the test contact is consistent with expectations, and the corresponding group joining process is completed.
  • Each target group is still accessible and customer tags appear as expected.

Frequently asked questions

Will customers definitely enter a certain group I specify?

The dynamic group QR code will allocate entries from the configured group link, but the manual does not fully explain the allocation rules. If you must enter a specific group, you should first confirm the current configuration and actual jump results.

When one group is full, will it automatically switch to other groups?

The data lists multi-group integration as a usage scenario, but does not give details on full group detection and switching. This cannot be guaranteed and the current functional description should be reviewed and verified with a real entrance.

Does it mean that when a customer opens the page, he or she has joined the group?

No. You need to confirm that you have completed the actual steps of joining or admin approval, and be able to see their member status in the group.
