Before you start
- There are already customers or groups that need to be classified, and the corresponding label area can be accessed.
- Creating a new public label requires administrator rights; personal labels are set by team members themselves.
Where to find it
Public label: admin console →Configuration management→Public label management→New; use label: the label area of the customer profile or the "label" area in the client address book chapter.
Choose public tags or personal tags first #
| type | who sets | Scope of application | Hierarchy |
|---|---|---|---|
| public tags | administrator | All team members | Support secondary tags |
| personal label | staff | Individual team members | Support first-level tags |
When the team wants to unify statistics or implement common processes, they must first agree on the meaning of the public labels. You can use personal tags only for your own temporary organization; don't expect personal tags to automatically become company-wide public categories.
Admin sets public tags #
- Enter the configuration management of the admin console.
- Open public tag management and click New.
- Fill out the tags as per the actual form and organize primary and secondary categories as needed.
- After completing the creation, check whether it is available in the client label area.
- Inform users of the label's meaning to prevent the same customer from being labeled in conflicting terms.
Do not repeatedly create multiple approximate tags for the same business meaning; check existing categories before adding new ones.
Categorize groups #
Tags can also be added to groups, for example, to separate the company's own test group and formal service group to facilitate subsequent finding of the correct target. Before operation, check whether you are currently processing a group or a single customer, and do not confuse the lists of two types of objects.
Tags can also be used as a basis for subsequent screening. When using tags to create sending tasks, you should double-check the recipients and contact permissions; the presence of tags does not mean that the customer or group has agreed to receive any content.
How to check when the label is not displayed #
Let’s look at the tag type first: public tags are open to all team members, and personal tags are only effective within the team member’s personal scope. Check again whether the creation or saving has been completed, whether the current team member is correct, and whether the selected customers or groups are consistent.
The admin console automation and statistics of public labels rely on a unified classification caliber. This article only covers the creation and use of labels, and does not equate labeling with automatically triggering an unconfigured process.
Check your result
- Public labels can be identified in the label area of the corresponding team member, and the level conforms to the administrator's configuration.
- After saving, the target customers appear under the expected tab.
- There is no confusion between group and customer label categories.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t my colleagues see the tags I created?
First confirm whether it is a personal tag. Personal labels only take effect within the personal scope of team members; when team sharing is required, public labels should be set by the administrator.
Can personal tags be set up with secondary categories?
This document clarifies that personal tags support level one, and public tags support level two. When a team needs hierarchical classification, the administrator should uniformly configure public labels.
Will messages be automatically sent after tagging customers?
This cannot be inferred. Tags are used for classification and can also provide filtering conditions for configured automation or sending tasks; whether a message is sent depends on the corresponding task and configuration.
